Luke 6:12-13
In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God. [13] And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles:
Jesus went to the Father to pray overnight for guidance, because He did nothing that the Father didn't approved of.
John 5:19
"So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise."
The Father is the one who has the "Master Plan", He is the only One who knows how to accomplish His goals!
I once heard a Theologian say when You think you know what God is going to do, go ahead and mark that one off your list!
We see this come to light, when we see the disciples He chose.
Those twelve men became the foundational figures of the early church, tasked with spreading the Gospel and continuing Jesus's work.
Father, Your will be done! Who am I to second guess the God of the universe? I'm sorry when I try placing my agenda before asking You for Yours! Your way is always so much better!
Thank you for clearing up what has been bothering me for a week. Remind me to slow down, relax and listen to the wisdom that is Your voice. In Jesus' name, Amen 🙏
