"Trusting the Still Small Voice"
Can you hear that "still small voice" urging you to go on? 1 Kings 19:12
It's the Gift that was sent the moment you said yes... the guarantee of God's direction...
The gospel of your salvation was given the moment you believed in him... His promise was that you be sealed with the Holy Spirit
Ephesians 1:13
He didn't wait or hesitate or wonder if your belief was true...
He took you for your word, because that was what you trusted He would do...
So when You hear a word behind you saying... “This is the way, now walk in it” ...
When you turn, and it says left, then why do you go right?
Isaiah 30:21
God says His plans for you are better... beyond anything than you can ever dream!
Plans for your good welfare, not for evil... to give you a future and to give you hope! To bring peace and wholeness...
with contentment to a once lying heart... Jeremiah 29:11
What you think sounds delightful...
but are you listening to the voice of deception? The lies of a deceived heart?
There isn't a cure for those convinced that deception is the truth!
They will believe what they want to believe until the moment they can let go!
Only God can break through the lies of a deceived heart... Jeremiah 17:9
If you hear my voice you'll listen...I know my sheep, and they follow me...John 10:27
God’s plans for you are long-term, ultimately for your well-being...
"It is His desire for His people, for all to have a future and hope."
God says, "you say you love me... so "If you love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15
True love for Him is demonstrated through your obedience.
So ponder these words, let them resonate within your heart...
God said...
"then pray to me and I'll listen!"

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit and for the "still small voice" that guides me. Forgive me for the times I have turned left when You said right, deceived by my own heart. Strengthen my obedience, soften my heart to listen, and help me walk confidently in the prosperous plans and hope You have designed for me. I trust in Your unwavering faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
In my personal journey, I've often found that learning to hear and trust the 'still small voice'—the gentle prompting of the Holy Spirit—has been transformative. Life constantly presents crossroads where we must decide whether to follow our own understanding or that subtle inner guidance that aligns with God's truth. At times, it's tempting to rely on noisy distractions or emotions, but the 'still small voice' is distinct—quiet yet persistent, leading us patiently toward paths we might not immediately understand but are ultimately for our good. This guidance often invites us to choose faith over fear, obedience over convenience, and hope over doubt. One powerful lesson I’ve experienced is how obedience to that inner prompt—even when it feels challenging—opens doors to peace and strengthened trust. Just like the scripture in Isaiah 30:21 symbolizes, when we hear, "This is the way, walk in it," and choose to follow, we align with God’s promises of a hopeful future and prosperity. Recognizing deception from a deceived heart as mentioned in Jeremiah 17:9 has been crucial. When I’ve struggled with confusion or misleading thoughts, turning earnestly to prayer and scripture helped me discern truth from illusion. God’s mercies are indeed new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), reminding me that each day offers a fresh opportunity to listen and obey. Encouragingly, the gift of the Holy Spirit seals us in promise as outlined in Ephesians 1:13, assuring that we are not alone in this walk. It’s the Spirit who guides us into all truth (John 16:13), declaring what is to come and comforting us with unwavering love. This spiritual practice is not just about hearing but responding—softening the heart, asking for strength to obey, and recognizing God’s steadfast faithfulness. Through moments of prayer and reflection, I have felt greater clarity and renewed hope for my future, inspired to follow the commands of love and maintain steadfast faith even when the path isn't immediately visible. In everyday life, trusting this divine whisper encourages me to pause and seek God’s voice amid busyness and decisions. It’s a journey of becoming more attuned to the presence that calls gently yet confidently, leading toward growth, peace, and fulfillment.
