"Cultivating Your Heart in Unexpected Seasons"
Good morning 🕊
Matthew 13:1-9
"The Parable of the Sower" reminds us that while God’s Word is powerful, its fruitfulness relies on the soil of our hearts.
Seasons of sudden change can leave us feeling barren and tempted to stop tending our spiritual gardens. Yet, when life forces us into a new, unexpected landscape, it is not time to halt our devotion, but to ask: "How do I cultivate my heart in this new season?"
God is the expert Farmer. When the soil of your heart feels hard, rocky, or crowded by the weeds of anxiety, He can break it up and make it fertile again.
So don't stop; instead, lean in. Trust Him to bring a new, unexpected harvest. Your role is not to force growth, but to remain rooted and obedient—hearing, understanding, and producing fruit (Matthew 13:23).
Rest IN Him, and watch Him turn your season of change into a season of abundant growth.
Pray: Lord, You are the Gardener of my soul. In this unexpected season, I feel the weeds of worry trying to take root. I refuse to stop, but I cannot do this alone. Soften my heart. Break up the hard ground. Where I am tired, I choose to rest IN You, trusting that You are creating a harvest for Your glory. Amen.
