"The Bullseye of Dishonest Gain"
"Good morning" 🕊 🕊 🕊
Ecclesiastes 8:12
"Although a wicked person... may live a long time, I know that it will go better with those who fear God..."
"Solomon highlights that despite the reality of injustice and the temporary success of evil... true, lasting security is found in revering God."
"He's just too mean to die!" Famous last words... yep! Onry and mean he even has a horseshoe nailed to his forehead, lucky scoundrel.
Have you ever been around success that looked and smelled like ultimate failure?
People who rise on the backs of others quickly, and reign from the top... yet show every sign of self-destruction? Midas touch turns muddy?
Dishonest gain is an ultimate cutting of one's own throat. It's like having an enormous bullseye painted on your forehead that's only visible to everybody but you.
Personally I won't obsess over anyone's prosperity... much less those who have sacrificed their soul for it.
My focus is on cultivating a heart that truly reveres God, and trusting His ultimate justice rather than worrying about immediate worldly results.
Pray;
Father, help me trust You even when I cannot understand why the world seems unfair. Grant me a heart that truly fears You and peace in the face of uncertainty. Amen.

Verses;
Ecclesiastes 8:12-13
"Though a sinner does evil a hundred times and prolongs his life, yet I know that it will be well with those who fear God, because they fear before him."
"But it will not be well with the wicked, neither will he prolong his days like a shadow, because he does not fear before God."
Psalm 73:2-3, 17
"But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled, my steps had nearly slipped.
For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked...
until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I discerned their end."
Proverbs 10:2
"Ill-gotten treasures have no lasting value, but righteousness delivers from death."
Matthew 16:26
"What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?"
Romans 7:24
"Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?"
