"The Limit of Your Hustle"
🌟 Your grind has a ceiling. God doesn't
"The Limit of Your Hustle"
Matthew 19:26
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
We live in a culture obsessed with the grind.
We are told that human ingenuity, grit, and pure perseverance can buy freedom, manufacture wealth, and conquer any obstacle.
We dress for the illusion of success. We hustle for the right zip code. At the first whisper of a housing boom, we treat our sanctuaries like ATMs—bleeding out built-up equity to down-pay a bigger mirage. We devour tomorrow's stability to finance today’s upgrade, trapped in an endless loop, gambling on the next market surge.
Win big, or go home broken.
The disciples lived in the exact same delusion. They assumed wealth, power, and prestige earned God’s favor.
But Jesus shattered their logic.
Salvation cannot be bought, speculated, sweet-talked, or manufactured through sheer willpower. Saving ourselves is a flat-out impossibility.
Human grit can build corporate empires, but it cannot change the climate of your heart. It cannot produce peace.
Pride, doubt, and greed work in the background like a slow, poisonous IV drip, lulling us into submission, whispering:
"You can do this all on your own."
But true peace only begins when you run so hard, for so long, that you completely run out of your own strength. Stop kicking yourself for not turning back sooner. Your perfection isn't in your performance—it’s in your surrender.
Stop trying to hustle your way to heaven. Hand your impossibilities over to the King.
Pray with me:
Lord, forgive me for trying to fix my life using my own broken strength. Take the wheel and display Your power in my weakness. My hope is securely anchored in Your perfect ability, not my performance. In Jesus' name, Amen.
"Hustle cultures been lying to you. Your human grit can build an empire, but it will never change the climate of your heart."
