"Break the Cycle Already!"
Ever feel like you're running a maze that never changes?
Stop running. Let me show you something that will change your perspective today.
The Shoreline
Colossians 2:9 says:"For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form."
Picture this. You are walking on a quiet, sandy beach. Right in front of you is Jesus. You can see the rhythmic sway of His trailing robe.It gently overlaps the sandals on His feet.
You’re only three feet away.Yet every fiber of your being aches to pull closer. When you encounter absolute perfection, humility isn't a forced duty. It’s the natural surrender of your soul.
In His presence, your emotions overflow.Your mind completely capitulates to Him. Just murmuring the name "Jesus" forces a smile onto your face. It brings a weightless relief. An incomprehensible calm. A joy that makes you wonder why we delayed living in this reality for so long.
The Human Maze
1 Peter 5:6-7 reminds us:
"Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God... casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you."
Surrendering your worries and your future is easy when you realize the depth of His love. He is the Crown Giver. He stepped into our deteriorating, sin-worn timeline. Why? To bridge an unspannable gap.
Yet, left to ourselves, we turn simple faith into quantum physics. We overcomplicate the path with complex schemes. We try to patch missing pieces with human effort. We run through life like test mice in a maze.
Ecclesiastes 1:9 says:
"What has been will be again... there is nothing new under the sun."
Human history is just a loop of predictable cycles. A rotation of the same old traps, as Ecclesiastes 3:15 points out.
We pave our own roads with good intentions. We play chicken with the edges of sin.We test how close we can get to the cliff without falling over.
Drifting off-course splits your attention.
It invites disaster.True safety is refusing to gamble with the edges. The goal is to walk straight down the dead-center of His will.
Look down at the sand. If you can see the deep imprints of Jesus's footprints...
Let your feet be the very next thing to fill them. Focus entirely on Him. Step for step. Let Him carry you across the impossible
Let’s pray.
Lord Jesus, I surrender my anxieties and my complicated plans to You today. Forgive me for running in circles trying to solve things in my own strength. Break the repetitive cycles of my mistakes and pull me close. Let me walk so closely behind You that my feet find their home only in Your footprints. Amen.
Stop playing chicken with the edges of life. Stop trying to turn simple faith into quantum physics. If you can see His footprints in the sand, let your feet be the very next thing to fill them.
Double tap if you needed this reminder today. 🙏✨
