What i’ve been up to recently
Today, I took myself out on a little shopping date. Went to Target and purchased a few items in which I’m proud of myself because I only spent $35.00. 😂 Also went to Five Below and grabbed few books.
But the most sacred part of my day was going to my mom’s gravesite and spending time there. Gave her flowers and of course, I cried in which I haven’t done in a long time.
Usually when I need to clear my head, I go to my local river front and decompress. Honestly, I’m not good with internalizing grief or frustration too well but I’m trying to learn because I tend to withdraw from people when I feel uneasy or upset.
#qotd How do you cope with grief?

Navigating through grief can be an isolating experience. It's important to acknowledge the feelings and memories that arise during such times. Spending time at places that bring comfort, like a local riverfront or a special spot, can help facilitate the healing process. It’s okay to have moments of vulnerability, whether that means shedding a few tears or simply enjoying solitude. For many, engaging with the community can also provide support. Sharing stories about loved ones or discussing how we handle loss can foster connections that make the weight of grief lighter. On platforms like Lemon8, expressing these emotions and experiences can forge bonds with others who share similar feelings or even provide useful coping mechanisms. Through understanding and mutual support, we can come together to honor those we've lost while also embracing the ongoing journey of life.
