Replying to @SimplyIfe_ yall pray for me !!
I’ve been through phases where my hair felt visibly damaged and dry, almost fried from too much heat or chemical treatments. It’s a tough experience because your hair is such a big part of your confidence. When I saw my hair starting to look fried, I realized that I needed to change my approach seriously. Firstly, I cut back on heat styling tools like straighteners and curling irons. Giving my hair breaks from heat really helped it regain some strength and moisture. I also incorporated deep conditioning treatments once or twice a week, using products rich in natural oils and proteins. These helped to hydrate and repair the hair strands that were feeling brittle. Another game changer was adjusting my washing routine. Over-washing can strip away natural oils, so I tried to limit shampooing to every other day or less. Instead, I used co-washes or moisturizing shampoos that were sulfate-free. Also, protecting hair at night with silk pillowcases or hair wraps reduced friction and breakage. Lastly, I found that staying hydrated and eating a balanced diet with vitamins for hair health made a noticeable difference. Basically, this journey was about patience and care, and having encouragement from friends making positive comments and prayers definitely lifted my spirits. If you’re struggling too, remember that hair can recover with consistent care and a little support from others.
