Products I Use to Avoid Tech Neck

Products I Use to Avoid Tech Neck

What is Tech neck?

Tech neck is a result of what happens after a continuous use of leaning into your phone or computer, causing a hump and poor posture on your back and neck.

I am guilty of staying leaned into my computer for hours on end when I work. While I am still working on this tricky habit, there are a few things that have helped me prevent and reverse to avoid the dreaded “tech neck.”

01. Chirp Wheel

The Chirp Wheel has been the best investment I’ve made for my back and neck. It has given me so much relief after a long day of work. I recommend getting the 3-wheel option that comes in multiple sizes. It usually costs around $100, but sometimes they go on sale from other retailers.

02. Resistance Bands

Resistance bands are a new product I’ve added into my workout routine and they are also a perfect product to use during my computer breaks. I use these to do simple back exercises and stretches to help improve my posture. I recommend the brand Fit Simply, which you can find on Amazon for around $10.

03. Yoga Blocks

Yoga blocks are a game-changer to my exercise routine. When I practice outside of work, I make sure to implement stretches focused on correcting posture using yoga blocks. There are a lot of posture correcting exercises that can be found for free on Youtube! I recommend Yoga With Bird’s video, “Yoga Block Pose to Relieve Back Pain, Anxiety, and Improve Posture.” This exercise has really helped me release a lot of tension in my body.

... Read moreTech neck is becoming increasingly common with the rise of technology use, leading to discomfort and poor posture. It's crucial to adopt preventative measures to maintain a healthy posture. The Chirp Wheel provides targeted relief, allowing users to stretch and strengthen their back muscles effectively. Resistance bands are versatile for improving posture, making them ideal for quick workouts or exercises during breaks. Yoga blocks offer support for various stretches, enabling deeper stretches to counteract the tension built up from prolonged sitting. Additionally, practicing specific posture exercises regularly can help reverse the effects of tech neck. Consider incorporating these products into your daily routine to promote better health and wellness. Remember to take frequent breaks, adjust your workspace ergonomics, and stay mindful of your posture throughout the day.
