Things to Do When You’re on a Break

Are you and your partner on a break? Sometimes time apart can be a good thing; it can help give you space to focus on yourself. Instead of staying at home, here are a few things you can do while you and your partner are on a break!

01. Join a Club

No matter how old we get, there is always an opportunity to become a student again and connect with others. Sometimes it can be easy to get pulled into the routine of a relationship that we forget about our interests. Consider joining a club exploring something you love or have always been curious about. I recently joined a run club by myself and while I'm not the best runner, I'm reminded of how fun it feels to try new things on my own.

02. Have a Girl's Night

There is nothing better than a night with your favorite girl friends. While our partners are great companions, sometimes we need time apart to connect with friends we relate to in other ways. Whether it's staying in or going out, there is so much fun to explore with a group.

03. Catch Up With Old Friends

If there were people in your life that you were close to before the relationship, consider reaching out to them. They might enjoy hearing from you. As our romantic relationships grow and strengthen, sometimes its good to have a reminder of the friendships we had before them and how they shaped who we are today.
