how to get things done on low energy days

If you’re feeling unproductive, this post is for you. Here are my top three tips for having a productive day even when you’re feeling unmotivated:

1. Use the two min rule. If a task is going to take you less than two minutes, just do it!

2. Use the pomodoro method. Set a timer on your phone and work for 25 min. When the

timer goes off, take a 5 min break. Repeat this cycle four times before taking a longer

break.

3. Use the 5 second rule. When you don’t want to get a task done, countdown from 5 in

your head and when you get to one just do it!

The Two-Minute Rule is a powerful approach where if a task takes less than two minutes, you should aim to complete it immediately. This not only helps to declutter your to-do list but also gives you a sense of accomplishment, motivating you to tackle larger tasks. Next, engage in the Pomodoro Technique, which involves working in focused 25-minute bursts followed by short breaks. This method not only enhances concentration but also prevents burnout, making it easier to maintain rhythm on low-energy days. Lastly, the 5 Second Rule can be a game changer. By counting down from five, you create a mental push to initiate tasks, enhancing your likelihood of getting started. Together, these methods form a comprehensive toolkit for navigating low-energy days efficiently.
