Wanted to make a Fem version my original idea didn’t turn out how I want but I still love it #gojo #jjk #gojousatoru #satoru
Hey Lemon8 fam! So many of you have been curious about the inspiration and process behind creating unique character redesigns, especially when it comes to bringing a fresh, creative feminine vibe to beloved characters. It’s not just about changing a few features; it’s about truly aligning with a new aesthetic while retaining the essence of who they are. My latest project, a 'Fem Gojo' version, has been such a journey, and I wanted to share a bit more about how these ideas come to life. You’ve likely heard of interpretations like 'Frat Gojo' or 'Nerd Gojo' – they're fun ways to see our favorite sorcerer in different contexts. But what about diving into equally distinct feminine styles? That’s where my 'Preppy Gojo' and 'Tomboy Gojo' concepts came into play. I initially had a broader idea for a feminine Gojo, but as I started sketching, I realized I wanted to explore more specific, recognizable aesthetics. For 'Preppy Gojo,' I envisioned a look that’s polished, smart, and a little bit academic, but still with Gojo’s signature flair. Think crisp blazers, tailored skirts or trousers, classy accessories, and perhaps a subtle nod to his uniform, all while keeping that confident, effortless vibe. It’s about merging his powerful presence with an elegant, put-together style. I focused on details like clean lines and a sophisticated color palette to evoke that classic preppy feel. Then there’s 'Tomboy Gojo,' which is equally exciting to explore. This aesthetic is all about comfort, practicality, and an undeniable cool factor. I imagined oversized hoodies, relaxed-fit jeans, sneakers, and perhaps some edgy accessories, all without sacrificing Gojo’s inherent charisma. It's a look that says 'I’m ready for anything, but still incredibly stylish.' The challenge here was to ensure the 'tomboy' aspect didn't overshadow his inherent charm and strength, but rather complemented it in a unique, creative feminine way. The creative process isn't always linear, and my original 'fem' idea definitely evolved. Sometimes, a concept doesn’t quite translate from your mind to the canvas exactly as planned, and that's perfectly normal! It’s in those moments that you learn to pivot, iterate, and truly align with the new direction your art wants to take you. I might have started with one vision, but by embracing the possibilities of 'Preppy' and 'Tomboy' styles, I found something I loved even more. It's incredibly rewarding to take a character like Gojo Satoru, who is so iconic, and reimagine him in ways that celebrate different facets of personality and style. Whether it’s 'Frat Gojo,' 'Nerd Gojo,' or my own 'Preppy / Tomboy Gojo,' each interpretation offers a fresh perspective. I hope my journey inspires you to explore your own creative visions and not be afraid to experiment! What other JJK characters would you love to see get a style makeover?
