A post about my locs 💆🏽‍♀️🤎

I started my loc journey on April 29th, 2023 💆🏽‍♀️🤎.

It has been an amazing journey for me icl. I LOOOOOVE my hair soooo much. In the beginning I remember constantly spraying my hair with rose and or lavender water and oiling it quite frequently and being afraid of things like buildup and dreadrot. I’d spend HOURS on the internet looking to see if I was doing my retwists correctly 😭.

I was initially self maintenance for the first year, but as they started growing I switched over to getting them done by a loctician (my boyfriend’s mother!). Since she’s been taking care of them, they’ve been growing soooo much more. Like my hair is LITERALLY thriving.

If anybody has been looking to loc up but has been scared and or hesitant, TAKE THIS AS YOUR SIGN TO GOOOOO FOR IT 😁!! Locs are not permanent and you can always comb them out, but if you’re ready, why not give em a try??

I have been locked for 3 months and I'm pretty sure you know where I'm at starter locs well I've been on the fence about them. and if one more person tell me to trust the process it is not going to be pretty I am so tired of hearing that. but to be really honest it's really not that bad I just have to have my patience on deck at all times but when they hit my shoulders I think I'm my love of my whole lot more
