super fresh and chunky kaisendon
no bs, just fresh and thick cuts of sashimi. this is the premium kaisendon and costs about $28 before taxes. honestly this was even better than some of the sashimi dons i had in japan. my only gripe is that the rice had not enough vinegar in it, i feel sashimi dons should have a good amount of vine

hokkien mee with crazy wokhei
$12 hokkien mee is definitely steep but this is in town, at far east plaza. a small quaint shop that sells zi char in aircon. the prawns r really fresh the two times i went. what amazed me was the strong wok hei. the zhup is also very flavourful. the ratio of beehoon and yellow noodles is just righ

chanced upon this new salad bowl shop at the new Labrador Tower. They currently have an opening promo at $8.80 a bowl after 10% off. as someone who thinks salad bowls are a waste of money, this changed my opinion. i got the cajun chicken which was marinated well and probably sou vied as it was tend

the bakes usually sell out in minutes but oh boy was i lucky enough to win the giveaway. in summary all of it tasted really luxurious, and you may think im capping but i can taste the sincerity in each dessert, it feels genuine compared to some high priced soulless commercial variants out there. H

trying the most hyped pasta place in 2025
place opens at 1130am, came to queue at 1120 and reached just in time for the first seating. 1. Cacio e Pepe with Crispy Guanciale to be technical about it, cacio means cheese and pepe means pepper, the addition of guanciale means it should be called Allá Gracia instead but who cares anyway. Hand

hidden OP dry noodles
most people come here for the bursting balls (pork/beef) as shown in the second pic. it’s honestly quite decent, the soup is really tasty so i’m not sure if MSG is added, they also add a splash of huadiaojiu into it to zeng the soup. i had the pork slice and bursting balls noodles, the pork slices
