Today, I choose to pause… to fast… to remember.

Until 3PM — the hour Jesus Christ gave His last breath on the cross —

I reflect on His sacrifice, His love, and His obedience.

This is more than fasting from food.

It’s silencing the noise…

It’s aligning my heart with Heaven.

“By His wounds, we are healed.”

Choosing to pause and fast until 3PM, the hour Jesus gave His last breath on the cross, is a deeply moving spiritual practice that helps me realign my focus towards what truly matters. It’s not just about abstaining from food, but more about silencing the noise that distracts me daily—social media alerts, constant chatter, and internal worries. This intentional quieting creates space to reflect deeply on Christ’s sacrifice and the profound meaning behind His wounds. For me, this moment is about surrender and gratitude. When I meditate on the phrase “By His wounds, we are healed,” it brings a powerful sense of restoration and peace. It reminds me that through His pain, there is hope, forgiveness, and physical and spiritual healing available to all who believe. This practice transforms my heart and helps me live with greater compassion and purpose. Aligning my heart with Heaven during this sacred time means opening myself to His love and allowing the awareness of His sacrifice to influence my thoughts and actions throughout the day. I find that waiting quietly until 3PM teaches patience and humility, and gives me a renewed commitment to live in obedience, just as Jesus did. It's a personal journey that deepens my faith and strengthens my spiritual connection, fostering a meaningful way to honor His ultimate gift.
