It’s not just about drawing; it’s about crafting a whole story! When I start a new OC, I always think about their journey. The OCR recognized my "Before Fall" and "After Fall" concepts, and that's a crucial part of my process. What kind of person were they on Earth? What sin led them to Hell? And how did that sin manifest in their demon form? Does their 'After Fall' appearance subtly hint at their past life, or is it a dramatic transformation? Thinking about these details helps make them feel real. For instance, if they were vain, perhaps their demon form is beautiful but with a sinister twist, or completely grotesque, reflecting the ugliness of their pride. I also love exploring different demon aesthetics. The OCR picked up on the distinct head shapes, horns, and collars in my sketches, and those are key ways to define a character. Are they a Sinner, an Overlord, or a Hellborn? Each type offers unique design possibilities for features like horns, halos, skin color, and eye characteristics – just like the notes I had on one of my concept sketches! I often find myself asking, "what strange creatures lurk in the depths of Hell?" and how can I bring a unique one to life. Sometimes I even ponder, "why is Lucifer so intrigued by them?" when imagining how my OC might interact with the show's canon characters. Speaking of unique, many of you might be curious about creating a 'cat Hazbin Hotel OC'. It's such a fun idea! When I'm brainstorming a feline-inspired demon, I consider more than just adding ears and a tail. What kind of cat were they? A regal Siamese, a mischievous alley cat, or a fluffy pampered Persian? Their original feline nature could influence their demon abilities or personality. Perhaps they have nine lives, or their shadow form resembles a sleek panther. Think about how their cat-like agility or stealth could translate into their powers in Hell. Maybe they're a master thief or an elusive informant, always landing on their feet, much like our beloved Husk, but with their own unique twist. And for those who love a good crossover, the idea of a 'Hazbin Hotel x The Amazing Digital Circus' mashup is incredibly intriguing! Imagine Caine trying to 'manage' the chaos of Hell, or Pomni accidentally stumbling into the Hazbin Hotel. The contrast between a digital void and a literal damnation offers so much comedic and dramatic potential. Would a sinner from Hell find The Digital Circus a temporary reprieve, or an even more terrifying prison? Or how would a Digital Circus character react to the rules and denizens of Hell? It really gets your creative gears turning, thinking about how these two wildly different worlds could collide.
