Hiking in JB 🥾🇲🇾 Bukit Tiz

... Read moreIf you're someone who loves immersing yourself in nature, the Bukit Tiz Blue Lake Loop offers a refreshing escape from city life with its serene environment and moderately challenging trail. I recently took this hike and was pleasantly surprised by the natural jungle backdrop and the unexpected ropes sections which add a bit of adventure to the journey. Starting early around 9:00 AM is a good idea as many hikers were already heading back by then, making the trail more peaceful. The highlight for me was reaching the Blue Lake—it's a stunning spot in Seri Alam known locally but distinct from the more famous Kangkar Pulai blue lake. It’s a perfect place to relax, snack, and snap some memorable photos. Don't forget to bring some refreshments, as the rest stop offers a lovely break point to recharge. One thing to keep in mind is that the trail can sometimes be slippery or rope sections may be missing, so sturdy hiking shoes and cautious steps are essential. Also, keep an eye out for friendly stray dogs along the path—they might accompany you but stay alert just in case. Extending the route slightly beyond the usual loop was rewarding, providing more opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty. Overall, the Bukit Tiz hike in JB combines moderate exercise with refreshing nature views, making it a great weekend plan for couples, fitness enthusiasts, or anyone looking to reconnect with the outdoors. Plus, it’s a fantastic chance to explore a lesser-known hiking spot in Malaysia!
