Return of exteen and time capsule about to be opened
The return of the exteen and the time capsule is about to be reopened in my own corner.
When it comes to the name "Exteen," modern adolescents might be confused, what is it? But for the 90s - 2000s, this is the greatest realm of people with things, sir!
In an age when Facebook was not yet born and the world did not have a so-called "algorithm," the Web Exteen was the sacred space of the drawing line, the writing line, and the drawing of the mind.
Our workflow was very classic.
Spin a fan art drawing or write a diary on your blog (maybe with CSS decorations and web pages), copy Link to post an introduction or paste a work on a web board like All-Final or Pantip, a cartoon room, and wait for a long and sincere comment.
But the recent move of Exteen ai, which announced that it would restore old blogs for us to read again, caused an interesting split on both sides.
Different opinions...When the past is about to be resurrected.
🛑 most of the people who don't want to come back are worried about Digital Footprint. Many people have written something extreme, or expressed their childhood feelings that today go back and read, and may want to take the land away, including information security concerns about how well the new system will take care of after a long time.
The ✅ side that wants it back is a group that sees this as a spiritual archive, an early drawing, a forgotten novel plot, or a memory that falls through time. If it is recovered, it is to see its development that cannot be purchased.
Which side should be more partisan in my own corner?
If you ask the mind of a design and content worker like me, I think the "want back" side has a more interesting weight in terms of Creative Legacy.
Although Cringe is true, in the growth world, the evidence of effort is very valuable. Seeing the streaks that were still still that day is a confirmation of today's success. Privacy is the job of the management team to have a Permission system for the owner of the blog to choose whether to "open" or "close" his work.
My heart...
For me, I want it to come back. I want to see the fan art of that time again. I want to go back and read my mind on a day when there are not many obligations like now. Although it seems funny or old-fashioned, it is the foundation that makes me who I am today. Seeing my "beginning" again is like energizing us to move forward really well.
