Did I waste my time & money or do the right thing?

I spent 6 years in school and nearly $100,000 working to earn my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy…only to realize I didn’t actually want to be a therapist.

After ny first year in my Master’s program, I knew something wasn’t right. I worked up the courage to completely change my path away from Therapy.

It felt like failure at first. I questioned everything: my choices, the money, the time.

But pivoting into marketing with a focus on health & wellness was a combination of everything I truly love.

Before I even graduated, I landed my first job as a Marketing Manager for a health & wellness company and realized my decision to throw everything away and start over was the best thing I’ve ever done.

It taught me that no education is wasted, every skill transfers somewhere unexpected. From meeting with CEOs to understanding people in the industry, I’ve been able to use my therapy training in a new way.

I had a very similar process! I did dental school for 5 years only to change to international public health and ai in healthcare!! Honestly was such a hard path but I’m slowly getting there! So inspiring and raw to share your experience! 🍋🍋🍋
