What would you be doing today?
Lets talk about it.
When i was a kid my play consisted of me always having a pen and pad. Id either be taking orders, or telling the other kids how to behave or telling them to tell me about their problems with their mom or dad and id help them by telling them what to say to them. 😬👀… Crazy now that I think back cus what did i tell them? Sheesh!
As an adult woman, when i was at a point in my life that i need to find my her, i remeber sitting with a pad and paper trying to recall the play I did as a kid and i’d decipher why I played them.
Our childhood play is a hint at who we are and the things that we genuinely liked before we “lost ourselves”. What do you think?
The journey of self-reflection can often lead us back to the innocent joys of childhood. Many people find that the activities they enjoyed as children are key indicators of their true passions. Engaging in creative play, whether through drawing, writing, or role-playing, helped shape our identities and laid the foundation for our interests and career paths. By revisiting these early experiences, we can uncover a wealth of knowledge about what brings us joy and fulfillment. In modern times, more adults are recognizing the importance of play. Just as children learn social skills and problem-solving through pretend play, adults can harness the transformative power of creative activities to spark inspiration and innovation in their own lives. Additionally, therapeutic approaches, such as art therapy and play therapy, reveal the significance of play in emotional healing and coping strategies. Studies have shown that engaging in creative outlets not only fosters personal growth but also enhances mental well-being. The enthusiasm we had as children can serve as a motivational force, urging us to pursue dreams that may have been set aside for practicality. So, what if you were to take a moment today to reflect on your childhood dreams? What activities brought you happiness? How can you reintegrate these passions into your daily life? The answers might surprise you and illuminate the path toward a more authentic and satisfying existence. Rediscovering your inner child might just be the key to unlocking a more vibrant, purposeful life.
