Bantam & Biddy- have u ever tried?!
When i moved to GA I had to find allll the gluten free spots all over again coming from CT. Cus in CT where we were living i had my little go to grocery store that sold EVERYTHING i needed. We left and I had nothing and was outside & hungry all over again. All i do is cook from scratch and sometimes i just be needing fast foods ya know? 😩. lt was a little hard because everything in the south is fried southern foods and what not. Trying to eat out is so daunting and annoying cus ya girl likes to EAT!!
My husbae is the goat at finding gluten free spots & he actually found this one. I swear it’s a sport for him & he gets a thrill out of finding spots and watching to see if i like it 😂. This place has the best pancakes, waffles, cornbread, fried chicken and my fav- FRIED SKRIMP!! Wednesday nights is fried chicken night. And it’s so qaint and cute. It ain’t boujie (cus sometimes… i just don’t care for allat!). You gotta try. 10/10. Would def recommend.

Finding genuinely good gluten-free (GF) food, especially when you've just moved to a new city like Atlanta, can feel like a real treasure hunt. Believe me, I've been there! After leaving my go-to GF havens in Connecticut, I was seriously wondering if I'd ever enjoy eating out again without endless questions and anxiety. That's why Bantam & Biddy, located at 1544 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30324, became such a lifesaver. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a beacon for those of us who need delicious, safe GF options. What truly sets Bantam & Biddy apart for the gluten-free community isn't just that they offer GF items, but how incredibly delicious and thoughtfully prepared they are. Their famous fried chicken? Crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned – you'd never guess it's gluten-free. It's a revelation! And the fried shrimp? Oh my goodness, it’s my absolute favorite. Perfectly breaded and fried, it’s the kind of treat I thought I’d said goodbye to. But the GF magic doesn't stop there. Their pancakes and waffles are consistently fluffy and satisfying, making brunch a real joy instead of a compromise. And don't even get me started on the cornbread; it's moist, flavorful, and just melts in your mouth. One thing that always puts my mind at ease as a GF diner is when a restaurant genuinely understands and caters to dietary needs. At Bantam & Biddy, the staff seems well-versed in gluten-free protocols. While I always recommend communicating your dietary restrictions clearly, I’ve always felt confident in their ability to deliver safe and delicious meals. They're clearly committed to making sure everyone can enjoy their comfort food without worry. I’ve heard they even use dedicated fryers for their gluten-free fried items, which is a huge plus for preventing cross-contamination – always ask to confirm, but that's the kind of attention to detail that makes a GF spot truly stand out. Beyond the staples, their menu often features seasonal delights. I've seen indications of other fantastic Southern comfort dishes like chicken and corn chowder or fried green tomatoes advertised, which, if they offer gluten-free versions (always worth asking!), would be incredible additions to a GF feast. The restaurant itself has such a charming, quaint vibe – it’s cozy without being stuffy. It’s the kind of place where you can relax and truly enjoy your meal. And seriously, if you’re a fried chicken aficionado, you have to try their Wednesday Fried Chicken Night. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss if you're in the Atlanta area and craving some top-notch, worry-free Southern comfort food. Trust me, it’s a 10/10 recommendation for any gluten-free food lover!
