This is Daphne! She’s 1 and a half!!!
Daphne is my best friend! I wouldn’t know where I’d be without her.
🤍Story Time!
I got Daph at only 5 weeks, her mom stopped feeding and just ignored her pups, from my former neighbors. Although I didn’t adopt her from a shelter, I’d still like to think of her as a rescue. My old neighbors were dealers and didn’t take care of their pit bulls, they would leave them chained up outside with no food or water. In multiple occasions me or my mom or dad would go across the street to give their dogs food and clean water.
•FUN FACT•
My sister’s dog was also from my neighbors and is biologically Daphne’s aunt!
Anyway, they did not take care of their dogs and favored their chihuahuas.
As I mentioned earlier they were involved with 🍃🌿🌿and such.
One day Daphne was out playing with her siblings and she disappeared. We couldn’t find her. I was out looking for her at night. Me and my friend went out looking for her instead of working. I was BEYOND DEVASTATED!!! I bawled my eyes out and definitely wanted to 💀. My neighbors let me keep one of the other pups to see if it’d help me cope. Although I loved him he wasn’t Daphne.
Days passed and there were multiple scams that contacted me and my mom. She felt like it was her fault since she let Daph out to begin with so she tried EVERYTHING to get her back.
3 days had gone by when my mom got a message on an app for lost/missing pets. Someone had Daphne and I HURRIED over to their house with my friend and we met up with my mom on the way.
🤍 Daphne’s Adventure
Turns out my neighbors got into a fight with one of their friends and he had just grabbed Daphne from my yard. He had stolen a truck and when it broke down he left it at a gas station with Daphne in it. The police officer who contacted the owner of the truck asked if she was his and he said no. The officer offered to take Daphne cause she was so cute. THANKFULLY the truck owner decided to keep her and look for her owner. He let his neighbors play with Daph since they had other dogs and kids and were older. The older gentleman of the house saw my mom’s post on the app and contacted her!
I am so grateful to have my Daphne back and I wouldn’t give her up for anything. I am soon going to try to get her certified as my Emotional Support Dog!
