supernatural historical terror

i’d put the reformatory aside for SO long because i didn’t know if i was ready to dive into nearly 600 pages of horror … and i can’t believe i was missing out for so long.

this is chilling, powerful, agonizing, and absolutely beautifully written. you might sob at the ghosts and injustices, but it’s an incredibly worthwhile read.
