... Read moreI absolutely love my morning coffee shop bible study routine, and I've learned a few things that really make it special. If you're looking to deepen your faith and make the most of your quiet time, especially with queries like 'how to meditate on God's word' or 'coffee and bible time prayer journal' in mind, here are some tips I've picked up along the way. First, finding the right coffee shop is key. I look for a spot that's not too loud but has a comforting buzz – just enough background noise to feel alive but not distracting. Sometimes, a cozy corner or a window seat can make all the difference. It's about creating an atmosphere where you feel both focused and at peace. Once you're settled with your favorite brew, how do you really meditate on God's word? It's more than just reading. I like to use a simple method: Read Actively: Don't just skim. Read the passage several times, perhaps in different translations if you have a Bible app. Observe: What stands out? Are there repeated words or phrases? Who are the characters? What is the main message? Interpret: What does this passage mean in its original context? What truth is God revealing here? Apply: This is crucial. How does this apply to my life today? Is there a command to obey, a promise to claim, an example to follow, or a sin to confess? This personal connection transforms mere reading into meditation. Pray: Turn your observations, interpretations, and applications into prayer. This is where my Bible notes journal really shines. Instead of just jotting things down, I use the prompts to guide my meditation. When it asks for "verses that stand out," I don't just copy them; I write them down slowly, thinking about each word. For "key takeaways," I focus on the core truth God is teaching me. And the "reflection questions" are gold – they push me to consider how to live out what I've learned. Making prayer a central part of your coffee and bible time is also incredibly powerful. After meditating on a passage, I dedicate a specific time to pray, using the insights from my study. Sometimes it's a prayer of thanksgiving, other times it's asking for guidance or strength to apply what I've read. The journal's prayer section helps me structure these thoughts and keep a record of my conversations with God. If you're looking for some inspiration, I often reflect on verses that speak to starting the day with intention. For instance, Psalm 143:8 ("Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.") perfectly captures the essence of a morning quiet time. Or perhaps Proverbs 3:5-6 ("Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.") for guidance throughout the day. These 'coffee bible quotes' can really set the tone. This routine isn't just about checking off a spiritual box; it's about cultivating a deeper relationship with God. The coffee shop environment, for me, adds a touch of everyday luxury to this sacred time, making it something I genuinely look forward to. It’s a wonderful way to pour into your spiritual development and start your day grounded and refreshed. Give it a try, and see how your mornings transform!

Bible study on Jeremiah 18:6
I recently watched a good sermon and it was a study on “The potter’s hand.” Based off of Jeremiah 18:1-10. Another good verse to go with the topic is: “But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭64‬:‭8‬ ‭KJV‬‬ #
