Need recommendations pls!

I have PCOS and I think I might be pre-diabetic (getting my labs done in a week to check.. fingers crossed I’m not) but I love my morning coffee before I start teaching for the day. I really need a great healthy version of a sugar free creamer PLEASE!!! TIA!

... Read moreFor individuals managing PCOS and pre-diabetes, finding a healthy sugar-free creamer that enhances morning coffee without impacting blood sugar is crucial. Many traditional creamers contain hidden sugars or unhealthy fats that can exacerbate insulin resistance and hormonal imbalances common in PCOS and pre-diabetes. Plant-based creamers made from almond, coconut, or oat milk are excellent options. Almond milk creamers tend to be low in carbs and calories, making them favorable for blood sugar control. Coconut milk creamers often provide healthy medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) that may support metabolism, but it’s important to choose unsweetened varieties. Oat milk creamers, while creamier, sometimes contain more natural sugars, so opting for sugar-free versions is essential. Another alternative is plain unsweetened nut creamers that can be infused with natural flavorings such as vanilla or cinnamon, which may provide additional benefits in blood sugar regulation. Some people also choose creamers made with collagen peptides for added protein and skin health benefits. Avoid creamers with added artificial sweeteners or carrageenan, as some individuals report digestive sensitivities. Instead, natural sweeteners like stevia or monk fruit extracts incorporated in small amounts can offer sweetness without blood sugar spikes. When shopping, always review the nutrition labels to ensure the creamer is free from added sugars and unnecessary additives. Homemade creamers, made with soaked nuts blended with water and natural flavorings, can also be a nutritious, customizable option. In addition to creamer choices, maintaining overall dietary balance, managing carbohydrate intake, and regularly monitoring blood sugar levels are important components for managing PCOS and pre-diabetes effectively. Consulting with a healthcare provider or registered dietitian can also help tailor nutritional strategies to individual needs and support long-term wellness.

I use heavy cream and a sugar free syrup. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also use heavy whip and a sugar free substitute like monk fruit or syrup, but I’ve gotten to where I only do heavy whipping cream and that’s great for me now. Good luck on your journey!
