Crying, healing, growing. in that order 🌸

I’ve been grieving parts of myself I didn’t even realize I let go of…

pieces I buried just to make it through,

versions of me that kept surviving even when I was fucking exhausted.

There’s a certain kind of sadness that hits you when you finally stop long enough

to see everything you lost while trying to hold your world together.

And now I’m trying to grow again.

Trying to be softer without feeling like I’m falling apart.

Trying to love myself in ways I was never taught.

Healing is strange like that…

you’re breaking and blooming in the same breath,

holding grief in one hand and some quiet hope in the other.

Some days I feel heavy as hell.

Other days I feel brand new.

Most days I’m somewhere in between...

messy, honest, figuring out who the fuck I am

after everything I’ve been through

And maybe that’s what this season is for:

sitting with the parts of myself I abandoned,

nurturing the pieces I thought were gone.

Many people experience a deep sadness as they pause and truly reflect on the sacrifices made to keep their worlds intact. This emotional heaviness is common and serves as a necessary step toward healing. Learning to be gentle with ourselves—even when it feels like we are breaking apart—allows new forms of growth and self-love to emerge. Healing can feel like holding grief and hope together; it’s messy but genuine, fostering resilience through honest self-awareness. In the space of healing, daily emotions fluctuate; some days are weighted with sorrow, others feel like rebirth. This in-between state is where authentic transformation takes place, allowing us to integrate past experiences into a renewed sense of identity. A crucial aspect of this growth is the commitment to nurture and re-embrace the neglected aspects of ourselves—a commitment to no longer abandon who we are. Engaging in inner work such as journaling, mindfulness, and visual diaries can support this healing journey by creating a safe space to process feelings and track progress. Communities focused on healing through grief and self-care can also provide validation and encouragement along the way. Ultimately, healing teaches us that it’s possible to bloom amidst brokenness and to cultivate a compassionate relationship with ourselves that we may never have learned before.
