I Asked for a Splash… They Sent the Flood
Asked for a splash of almond milk at Paris Baguette and they said, “Say less, dairy queen.”
My cold brew turned into a beige smoothie real quick 😭
But honestly? The hash brown ham & cheese pastry was so good it saved the whole side quest. Crispy, cheesy, warm, dramatic… basically the main character of breakfast.
Coffee: questionable
Pastry: 10/10, no notes
Me: still drinking it because I paid for it 😌

Ordering coffee just got a little more interesting after my visit to Paris Baguette. I asked for a splash of almond milk in my large cold brew, thinking it would lightly mellow the flavor. Instead, I was greeted with what could only be described as a flood—a huge pour that quickly transformed my coffee into a creamy, beige smoothie. It was unexpected and definitely caught me off guard! From my personal experience, asking for almond milk or any alternative milk in coffee can be a bit of a gamble depending on the barista’s pour and the establishment’s standard measures. Some places are generous, others more subtle, which can surprisingly affect the overall flavor and texture of your drink. While my coffee became questionable due to the sudden overload of almond milk, I didn’t let that ruin my breakfast. Instead, I focused on the standout item—the hash brown ham & cheese pastry. It was crispy on the outside, warm, packed with melted cheese and ham, and had that irresistible savory punch that saved my morning. If you find yourself in Woodbridge at Paris Baguette, and you're contemplating your order, I’d suggest maybe asking for almond milk on the side if you prefer control over the amount. Also, don’t miss out on their pastries—the ham & cheese hash brown was definitely the main character of my breakfast adventure. Sometimes, food can turn around an otherwise questionable coffee experience to a delightful morning outing!
