It's you and I

... Read moreYou know, sometimes you hear a phrase like 'it's you and I,' and it just sticks with you. But what does it truly mean to 'define connections'? For me, it's not just about looking up a dictionary definition; it's about feeling it, living it, and understanding the intricate web of relationships that make up our lives. As a #texasgirl, I've seen firsthand how community and personal ties shape who we become, and how being authentically #iamme allows those connections to flourish. I used to think connections were just about friendships or family, straightforward links between people. But as I've grown, I've realized it's so much more nuanced. A true connection isn't always loud or obvious; sometimes it's that quiet understanding you share with someone, a bond built on trust and shared experiences. It's the feeling of being completely yourself, knowing you're accepted, flaws and all. It’s about mutual respect and support, a two-way street where both people feel seen and valued. For instance, I remember a particular phase, which I often mentally label with unique markers, almost like a personal identifier – let's call it the 'II/ODEAN' period in my life – when I truly started to grasp the depth of genuine connection. It wasn't about the number of people around me, but the quality of empathy and understanding present. Defining connections also means understanding the different forms they take. There are the foundational connections with family, the ones that shape our earliest selves. Then there are the friendships, those chosen families who walk alongside us through thick and thin. But we also connect with ideas, with passions – like the #stickabugvibes that resonate with a particular community or interest. These connections, even if they're digital or interest-based, still contribute to our sense of belonging and identity. They reinforce parts of who we are, whether it's our regional pride as a #texasgirl or our individual spirit as someone who dares to say #iamme. It's also crucial to define the connection we have with ourselves. How well do we know our own thoughts, feelings, and needs? A strong internal connection, that self-awareness, actually paves the way for healthier external relationships. If I don't understand my own boundaries or what truly makes me happy, how can I communicate that effectively to others? Learning to truly connect with myself has been a journey, sometimes challenging, but always rewarding. It’s about listening to that inner voice, nurturing my own well-being, and accepting every part of my story. Ultimately, defining connections is an ongoing process. It's not a static concept but an evolving understanding as we meet new people, experience new things, and grow as individuals. Every interaction, every shared moment, every time we choose to be vulnerable and open up a piece of ourselves, we are defining and redefining what it means to be connected. It's about building bridges, not just between 'you and I,' but across communities and within the deepest parts of our own hearts. These connections are the threads that weave the rich tapestry of our lives.

A Dollar Tree aisle displays various skincare products, with text overlays indicating these are items the author would not buy, setting the theme for a 'no-buy' challenge for skincare from the store.
Two boxes of 'Lift & Firm Eye Cream with Collagen & Peptides' are shown, with text stating it lacks effective ingredients for puffiness and suggesting investing in a better eye cream.
Two bottles of 'Power Stick Shower Gel Amber Rouge' are displayed. Text indicates it contains sulfates and strong fragrance, causing skin irritation, and the scent does not last.
Skin and Body Care I wouldn’t Buy From Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree has great deals on many item items, these skincare and body care products are not worth it. Investing in quality products is essential for proper skincare. Have you tried any Dollar tree skincare or body care products you wouldn’t buy again? #lemon8challenge #hacks #dollartree #newy

FT job and a PT degree | Do I regret it?
After graduating from my poly, I was very clueless about my future plans. What’s next? I knew I wanted to pursue a degree, my parents strongly wanted me to complete my studies too. My GPA wasn’t good enough to enter the big 3, but I knew I could consider either private unis or part-time degrees at
