I said this for 2 years.
It started as one difficult week.
Then another.
Then another.
Every Monday I told myself:
“Just get through this week.”
I thought I was being positive.
I thought I was being resilient.
I thought I was doing what I needed to do.
What I didn’t realise was that I had stopped living in the present.
I was constantly waiting.
Waiting for things to calm down.
Waiting for life to get easier.
Waiting to finally feel okay.
And while I was waiting…
Months passed.
Then years.
One day it hit me:
I couldn’t remember the last time I felt excited about my own life.
Not because I was lazy.
Not because I was weak.
Because I’d been surviving for so long that surviving had become normal.
If you’re constantly telling yourself:
“Just get through today.”
“Just get through this week.”
Maybe it’s worth asking yourself:
How long have I been saying that?
🤍 If this feels familiar, I’ve put together a free Overthinker’s Toolkit to help you step out of survival mode and start reconnecting with yourself again.

I have a free toolkit I’ve create for us all✨❤️
