switch games of 2026 ✨
excited for these 3 games to release next year!
yoshi and the mysterious book:
paper illustration styled game (may be similar to paper mario) single player, and full of adventures
we don’t have an exact release date yet but we know we’ll get this one sometime in spring next year! says it’s designed for SWITCH 2 but i’m hoping we can play on the 1st switch as well
resident evil requiem
all resident evil games were so damn scary to me. i’ve never even played individually.. i’ve always watched my man play. so i’m already caught up on the story line and next year i might finally try on my own 🤓
requiem will be single player and the graphics are expected to be better than ever and a return from the agent Leon S. Kennedy
avatar legends the fighting game
such a good concept to put both avatar the last airbender and the legend of korra into one game!!! iconic characters will return (uncle iroh is a must) and this game won’t just be retelling the story. it will be a 2D new world combined with old eras???

Nintendo Switch fans have an exciting year ahead in 2026, with some standout titles expected to bring fresh adventures and new gameplay experiences. Among the most awaited is "Yoshi and the Mysterious Book," a single-player game inspired by charming paper illustration art, reminiscent of the popular Paper Mario series. Scheduled for release in spring 2026, this game is reportedly designed for the upcoming SWITCH 2, but there's hope it will also be compatible with the original Nintendo Switch console. The adventurous style and unique visual aesthetics are sure to appeal to players who enjoy story-driven platformers and delightful graphics. Following closely is "Resident Evil Requiem," releasing February 27, 2026, a game that promises to elevate the survival horror experience on the Switch. Featuring improved graphics and a gripping storyline, this installment brings back beloved character Leon S. Kennedy. Fans of the Resident Evil series, both newcomers and veterans, can expect a terrifying yet captivating single-player campaign. The fear factor combined with the immersive environments will likely attract horror game enthusiasts who appreciate deep narratives. Summertime will bring an exciting crossover with "Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game," which innovatively merges characters and elements from both "Avatar: The Last Airbender" and "The Legend of Korra." Rather than simply retelling familiar stories, this 2D fighting game creates a new world blending eras, promising fresh gameplay and fan-favorite characters like Uncle Iroh. This title should appeal to fans of fighting games as well as those who love the Avatar series, offering a nostalgic yet new experience. These Switch releases in 2026 highlight Nintendo's continued commitment to offering diverse gaming experiences, from heartfelt adventure platformers to intense horror and action fighting games. Whether you're a casual player or a dedicated gamer, these titles are shaping up to provide something special in the coming year. Keeping an eye on their development and release dates will be key for any Switch enthusiast eager to expand their game library.
