Strawberry Shortcake Trifle
Ingredients:
1 store bought (or homemade) angel food cake
1 lb fresh strawberries
Sugar
2 containers of whipped topping
1 block softened cream cheese
Directions:
Cut the angel cake into cubes and place in a single layer in the bottom of a presentation dish.
slice the strawberries and cover them in sugar, let soak until a syrup forms then spoon on top of the cake layer.
Fold the softened cream cheese into the whipped topping and place a layer on top of the sugared strawberries.
repeat layers until the top of the bowl is reached, end with a layer of whipped topping and arrange slices of strawberries on top to finish.
chill in the fridge for a few hours or overnight.
