Ok next time we won’t change positions so much 😂
In my experience working with clients who have vertigo, it's crucial to communicate clearly before starting any stretching or bodywork session. Vertigo can make frequent movements or position changes disorienting and uncomfortable for the client. One approach that has helped me is to limit position changes as much as possible and take things slow, allowing the client to adjust gradually. I once had a session where the client forgot to mention their vertigo condition at first, which led to some unexpected dizziness during quick position shifts. After understanding their condition better, I adapted the session to focus on gentle stretches with minimal movements. Using supportive props and cushions helped stabilize their posture and provided comfort. Another tip is to maintain an open conversation throughout the session, asking clients to alert you if they feel dizzy or uneasy. This way, you can pause or modify the session accordingly. Incorporating breathing exercises can also help clients manage their balance and relaxation. Overall, being attentive and adapting the session to the client’s needs enhances the effectiveness of the stretch pad technique and ensures a positive experience for clients with vertigo or balance issues.
