Studying hard but the results just don’t seem to reflect?

Well, sometimes it might not even be because of your studying style, but your furniture!

Furniture can make you distracted and even hurt your body if they are not suitable for you. This can disrupt your attention span and thus, your results will not show.

So, get furniture that are ergonomic because they are built for you to be comfortable, unlike typical furniture.

In a study done by the US Department of Education, students prefer chairs that are movable and modern, as it allows for flexibility.

According to Mr Nanyang, a brand that sells quality furniture in Singapore, L-shaped tables are the best for students as it doesnt waste space and also allows for productivity.

So the next time you start your study session, make sure your study space is comfortable and ergonomic!

Having tried different setups myself, I noticed that non-ergonomic furniture caused discomfort and frequent breaks, which broke my concentration. Choosing ergonomic chairs that support good posture helped reduce back pain and increased my study endurance. I also found that movable chairs and flexible furniture arrangements let me adapt my space to different subjects—for example, spreading out notes for one topic or grouping materials for group work. L-shaped tables, as recommended by experts, save space and create a dedicated study zone without clutter. This organization minimized distractions and made it easier to stay focused. Lighting and desk height also played subtle roles in my comfort, so I adjusted those to reduce eye strain and encourage a natural, upright posture. Overall, paying attention to comfort and ergonomics in my study area made studying less taxing and improved my ability to retain information. If your results don’t match your effort, consider evaluating and upgrading your study furniture first—it's a game changer I personally recommend.
