Surviving Midterms with Focusaur 📚☕️

A day in my life as a uni student

Today, I’m preparing for midterms. It’s going to be an intense study day. I don’t know if I can pull it off, but I’m going to give it a try.

To make it happen, I’ll be using “Focusaur” to help me stay focused all day long. It’s super easy to use—just turn and push to lock in and stay away from your phone.

No distractions, just productivity.

Huge thanks to Focusaur for making my study day more productive!

👉 Focusaur is launching on Kickstarter - check it at the Link in my bio!

... Read morePreparing for midterms can be overwhelming, especially when you face long hours of study and the pressure to perform well. From my own experience, I found that maintaining focus during these intense days is crucial. That's where tools like Focusaur come in handy. This device helps by physically locking away your phone, removing the temptation to check notifications or social media. I once committed to a 10-hour study marathon during midterms and used Focusaur to manage my distractions. The lock-in mechanism made a significant difference — instead of constantly reaching for my phone, I stayed immersed in my study materials. The effect was not only increased concentration but also reduced stress because I wasn't guilt-tripping myself over lost focus. Beyond the tool, I developed non-negotiable habits to survive exam season: scheduling regular breaks, using the Pomodoro technique for time management, and preparing my study space with everything I might need ahead of time (water, snacks, notes). These habits complemented the use of Focusaur perfectly. Another important thing I learned is to balance focus with self-care. Midterms aren’t just about grinding endlessly but studying smartly. I scheduled short walks and mindfulness exercises between sessions to refresh my mind and keep motivation high. If you’re a uni student facing similar challenges, I recommend giving Focusaur a try along with building your personal focus strategy. Its simplicity can transform your study sessions from distracted chaos into productive, focused periods. Also, keep an eye on their Kickstarter launch for a chance to support and get your own device. This approach helped me turn an overwhelming midterm day into a successful and manageable one.
