🌷✨TODDLER SPRING BUCKET LIST: 14 Easy & Fun Activities! ☀️👦

Spring is finally here, and if you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for new ways to keep your busy toddlers entertained and burning off energy.

I’ve put together our ultimate spring bucket list, packed with a mix of outdoor adventures, cozy indoor moments, and easy sensory play. Here’s what we’re loving right now:

🏕️ Indoor “Camping”

Rainy spring day? No problem! We set up a little tent inside, grab some cozy blankets, and pretend we’re camping. It’s such a fun change of scenery for playtime.

☕️ Coffee Dates

Mom gets her caffeine fix, and the boys get a fun outing! We love finding local spots with a little outdoor seating to soak up the sun.

☀️ All the Outdoor Time & Walks

Simply getting outside is the best activity. Whether it’s exploring the neighborhood, hitting the park, or just running around the yard, fresh air is a must.

💧 Water Sensory Table

This is a lifesaver! A simple table of water with some cups and toys keeps them occupied for ages. (Just look at that joy 🥹)

🎨 Painting & Chalkboard Play

We love getting creative! Whether it’s painting on the easel or doodling on a chalkboard, it’s a great way to practice fine motor skills.

🐛 Insect Learning

Spring is the perfect time to learn about bugs! We’ve been exploring little insect toys and learning about all the creepy crawlies outside.

🍦 Frozen Yogurt Runs

Because what’s spring without a sweet treat? Froyo dates are our favorite little reward after a busy morning of playing.

🌼 Dandelion Hunts

Remember our dandeLION craft? It’s the perfect spring outdoor activity! They are free, everywhere, and toddlers love them!

🧸 Play Place Visits

For those days when we just need to get out of the house and let them climb, slide, and jump in a safe space.

📚 Reading & Movie Cuddles

It’s not all go-go-go! We make sure to carve out time for allllll the cuddles, reading our favorite spring books, and having cozy movie moments.

Which of these activities are you adding to your spring bucket list? Let me know below! 👇 And don’t forget to save this post for the next time you hear “I’m bored!” 📌

ps. don’t forget the best memories are usually the messy, unstructured ones 🥰

... Read moreSpringtime with toddlers offers the perfect chance to blend fun, learning, and fresh air. One of my favorite ways to enrich spring activities is by adding nature exploration elements that encourage curiosity. For example, when doing the dandelion hunts, I like to bring along a magnifying glass to help my toddler see the tiny details of each flower and learn about how seeds travel with the wind. It turns a simple walk into an exciting science discovery. Another activity we've loved is setting up a mini bug habitat after our insect learning sessions. Collecting safe insects like ladybugs or caterpillars (and releasing them afterward) encourages care and observation skills. We keep a simple journal with drawings or stickers about the insects we find, making it a fun sensory and literacy experience. For rainy days when indoor camping is on the agenda, adding storytime inside the tent with spring-themed books makes it extra special. Combine this with soft fairy lights and some healthy snacks, and it becomes a cozy spring retreat for toddlers to unwind. Sensory water play is always a hit—try adding natural elements like flower petals or colored ice cubes to the water table. This not only entertains but supports tactile learning and creativity. Lastly, coffee dates outdoors are such a rejuvenating way to connect with nature and community. Many toddlers enjoy watching birds or spotting small critters while parents enjoy a moment to themselves. It's simple but treasured quality time. These added touches transform activities into meaningful moments that celebrate spring’s beauty while nurturing your toddler’s development and happiness.
