I’ve put together our ultimate spring bucket list, packed with a mix of outdoor adventures, cozy indoor moments, and easy sensory play. Here’s what we’re loving right now:
🏕️ Indoor “Camping”
Rainy spring day? No problem! We set up a little tent inside, grab some cozy blankets, and pretend we’re camping. It’s such a fun change of scenery for playtime.
☕️ Coffee Dates
Mom gets her caffeine fix, and the boys get a fun outing! We love finding local spots with a little outdoor seating to soak up the sun.
☀️ All the Outdoor Time & Walks
Simply getting outside is the best activity. Whether it’s exploring the neighborhood, hitting the park, or just running around the yard, fresh air is a must.

This is a lifesaver! A simple table of water with some cups and toys keeps them occupied for ages. (Just look at that joy 🥹)
🎨 Painting & Chalkboard Play
We love getting creative! Whether it’s painting on the easel or doodling on a chalkboard, it’s a great way to practice fine motor skills.
🐛 Insect Learning
Spring is the perfect time to learn about bugs! We’ve been exploring little insect toys and learning about all the creepy crawlies outside.

Collecting safe insects like ladybugs or caterpillars (and releasing them afterward) encourages care and observation skills. We keep a simple journal with drawings or stickers about the insects we find, making it a fun sensory and literacy experience. For rainy days when indoor camping is on the agenda, adding storytime inside the tent with spring-themed books makes it extra special. Combine this with soft fairy lights and some healthy snacks, and it becomes a cozy spring retreat for toddlers to unwind. Sensory water play is always a hit—try adding natural elements like flower petals or colored ice cubes to the water table. This not only entertains but supports tactile learning and creativity. Lastly, coffee dates outdoors are such a rejuvenating way to connect with nature and community. Many toddlers enjoy watching birds or spotting small critters while parents enjoy a moment to themselves. It's simple but treasured quality time. These added touches transform activities into meaningful moments that celebrate spring’s beauty while nurturing your toddler’s development and happiness.
