hi 💓… I’m Stephanie, a former lawyer turned full time content creator living in Connecticut.
When I first created this space, fashion was the center of everything I shared here, and honestly it always will be one of the biggest parts of this page. I will forever be the girl making an outfit plan for absolutely everything and overdressing for every occasion.
But over the last year, I found myself in a really dark place mentally. Between a lot of health related things and navigating the weird limbo that comes with TTC, I slowly started losing pieces of myself without even realizing it. I stopped getting dressed in the morning. I stopped leaving the house. And I stopped caring about things that used to make me happy.
And one day I realized I missed feeling like myself.
So I made a promise to myself to start finding my way back to happiness again. I started gardening. I started forcing myself to leave the house more and making plans with friends again. And honestly? I remembered how genuinely healing it can be to be around people.
And that’s where this new hosting series #overatmyplace came from.
What started as me wanting an excuse to gather people together somehow became something so much more meaningful. It became my way of romanticizing life again during a season where I really needed it most. A way to reconnect with people, reconnect with myself, and bring back some of the light I felt myself slowly losing for a while.
So now this page has become a little bit of everything I love… fashion, hosting, travel, cozy nights at home, overly themed parties, and finding beauty in ordinary life again. If any of that sounds like your thing, I’m really happy you’re here. 💓
And it goes without saying, but if you’re walking through a really difficult season too… whether it’s TTC, anxiety, grief, burnout, depression, or honestly just feeling stuck in life I really hope this page reminds you to romanticize your life a little more. You deserve all the happiness in the world. 🫶🏼

Navigating difficult life seasons like TTC (trying to conceive), anxiety, or depression can often make everyday joys feel out of reach. From my own experience, I found that intentionally cultivating moments of connection and creativity can act as anchors during uncertain times. Stephanie’s approach to blending her love for fashion with hosting themed gatherings resonates deeply with me. It reminded me how creating intentional, joyful spaces helps reframe negativity and bring new light. For instance, planning an outfit or arranging a cozy get-together isn’t just a superficial activity; it’s a ritual that honors ourselves and invites more presence and pleasure into daily life. In my journey, starting small—like tending to a home garden or setting a weekly coffee date with friends—helped rekindle my sense of self. It’s amazing how these simple acts combat isolation and mental fog. Stephanie’s series #overatmyplace perfectly encapsulates the magic that happens when we gather and find comfort in community, even around a small table or over shared interests. It’s not about perfection but about embracing the beauty in ordinary moments. This mindset also encourages self-compassion, reminding us it’s okay to go through rough patches without losing hope. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I recommend trying your own version of “hosting”—whether it’s inviting a friend for tea or just dressing up to celebrate yourself. These small steps can cultivate a renewed sense of normalcy and joy. Remember, like Stephanie, you can reclaim your happiness piece by piece, day by day, finding light again even when it feels far away.
