hi 💓… I’m Stephanie, a former lawyer turned full time content creator living in Connecticut.
When I first created this space, fashion was the center of everything I shared here, and honestly it always will be one of the biggest parts of this page. I will forever be the girl making an outfit plan for absolutely everything and overdressing for every occasion.
But over the last year, I found myself in a really dark place mentally. Between a lot of health related things and navigating the weird limbo that comes with TTC, I slowly started losing pieces of myself without even realizing it. I stopped getting dressed in the morning. I stopped leaving the house. And I stopped caring about things that used to make me happy.
And one day I realized I missed feeling like myself.
So I made a promise to myself to start finding my way back to happiness again. I started gardening. I started forcing myself to leave the house more and making plans with friends again. And honestly? I remembered how genuinely healing it can be to be around people.
And that’s where this new hosting series #overatmyplace came from.
What started as me wanting an excuse to gather people together somehow became something so much more meaningful. It became my way of romanticizing life again during a season where I really needed it most. A way to reconnect with people, reconnect with myself, and bring back some of the light I felt myself slowly losing for a while.
So now this page has become a little bit of everything I love… fashion, hosting, travel, cozy nights at home, overly themed parties, and finding beauty in ordinary life again. If any of that sounds like your thing, I’m really happy you’re here. 💓
And it goes without saying, but if you’re walking through a really difficult season too… whether it’s TTC, anxiety, grief, burnout, depression, or honestly just feeling stuck in life I really hope this page reminds you to romanticize your life a little more. You deserve all the happiness in the world. 🫶🏼 #findinghappiness #comfortcreator #hostingseries #hostingera
Navigating difficult times can often leave us feeling disconnected not just from others but from ourselves. Stephanie’s story resonates deeply because it shows that healing is a gradual process that involves small, intentional actions. One thing I’ve personally found helpful is the power of creating new routines—even simple hobbies like gardening or planning themed gatherings can reignite a sense of purpose and joy. Hosting friends at home creates a space of comfort and belonging that combats the isolation many feel during hard seasons. It’s not just about the event itself, but about the human connection and the ritual of caring for others and oneself. This kind of social healing aligns with Stephanie’s experience in her #overatmyplace series, where gatherings act as a gentle reminder of life’s beauty amid challenges. Additionally, embracing fashion again as a form of self-expression can be surprisingly therapeutic. For those experiencing TTC, anxiety, or burnout, dressing intentionally—even if just for yourself—can restore confidence and brighten your outlook. It’s a form of self-care that celebrates identity and individuality. Stephanie’s openness about her struggles and her journey to reclaim happiness offers valuable insights for anyone feeling stuck. She reminds us all to romanticize everyday moments, find comfort in the ordinary, and create spaces where we can grow and heal. For anyone searching for encouragement, her blended focus on fashion, hosting, and mental well-being provides a holistic approach to rediscovering joy in life’s ordinary and extraordinary moments.
