Childhood acne... what kind to be careful!
Childhood acne... is not always a small thing.
"Acne in children" is sometimes normal, but sometimes it can be a sign of abnormal hormones; or some skin disease that should be rushed to a doctor.
What kind of acne is "normal?"
👶 Neonatal acne (neonatal acne) is more common 20% of newborns.
It usually starts at two to six weeks of age, usually on the cheeks, with a red blister / small pustules, but without the appearance of acne clogs. It is recovered at three months of age. It is believed to be caused by a response to postpartum hormones and yeast on the skin.
This kind of acne does not need to be treated because it does not leave a scar and can heal by itself. The more the cream is applied, the more the likelihood of allergies to the cream. If it is many, the doctor may apply drugs such as ketoconazole.
👦 Infantile acne (infant acne)
Found in the age range from 3, but not more than 1 year. Start with obstructed acne head. Acne inflammation.
Cause: Children's adrenal glands are not fully mature. Sometimes high hormones are produced, causing acne. At the age of one year, hormone levels stabilize and rise again when they reach adulthood.
