Okay, so I'm officially obsessed with Among Us! Getting started can feel a bit confusing, especially with all the talk about friend codes and strategy. Since I just shared my own code, joybubbly#1346 (you can find me as PreppyLily!), I wanted to share some quick tips on how to connect with friends and make the most of your gameplay, especially for fellow newbies. First off, let's talk about friend codes and how to actually use them. When you're in the game, head over to the 'Account' section. You'll see your own unique friend code displayed there – that's how others can add you! To add someone else, just click on the 'Friends' tab and then the '+' icon, where you can type in their code. It's super simple but makes a huge difference for playing with people you know. Trust me, playing with friends makes those intense discussions during emergency meetings even more hilarious and strategic! Now, onto the fun part: gameplay, especially as a crewmate, and those crucial discussions. My biggest advice for crewmates is to do your tasks! Seriously, it's how you win. Don't just wander around; be productive. When someone reports a body or calls an emergency meeting, that's when the "among us chat" truly shines. This is your chance to share what you saw, where you were, and if anyone seemed suspicious. Don't be afraid to speak up, but also listen carefully to what others are saying. I've learned that observing who's quiet or who's quick to accuse without proof can be a massive clue. It's a balance of deduction and a bit of bluffing! Sometimes, even just asking "where?" when a body is reported can give you insight into who's paying attention and who might be trying to throw people off. Another thing I've been having fun with is character customization. While Among Us doesn't have super detailed 'height' and 'weight' sliders like some RPGs (though I did see my profile mentioning 3'6" and 92lbs playfully!), it's still so much fun to pick out hats, outfits, and even pets for your little spaceman. I love seeing what quirky combinations people come up with. It adds a touch of personality to your anonymous crewmate, which can actually be helpful in identifying who's who during discussions if you're playing with the same group regularly.
