What excites me most is the opportunity for new and old fans alike to explore deeper narratives and character developments, beyond what the games allow. The partnership announced at D23 hints at high production values and a faithful adaptation, which is always crucial for anime adaptations of popular properties. From my personal experience, anime adaptations of complex game worlds are sometimes hit-or-miss, but with Disney and Square Enix collaborating, I have high expectations. This series could shed more light on key characters such as Sora and the mysteries surrounding the Kingdom Hearts lore. For anyone who’s interested in fantasy anime with strong storytelling and emotional depth, this show promises to be a must-watch. It’s also great to see Disney expanding its anime offerings, increasing accessibility for audiences who love both anime and gaming cultures.
