Wow, can you believe it's almost over? With only 27 days left until I graduate college, every moment feels extra precious. That’s why I’m trying to soak up these few weeks as much as possible, and honestly, my scooter has been my trusty sidekick for making that happen. Riding a scooter around campus isn't just about getting from point A to point B; it's an experience in itself, especially at a place as vast as the University of Minnesota. It’s perfect for those sunny days when you want to feel the breeze and take in all the sights without the hassle of long walks, campus buses, or navigating crowded sidewalks. For anyone thinking about incorporating a scooter into their daily campus life, I highly recommend it! It makes getting to classes across campus, grabbing a quick coffee from places like Brim (speaking of which, their coffee is a lifesaver!), or just exploring different parts of the huge University of Minnesota campus so much more enjoyable and efficient. It truly adds a layer of freedom and fun to your daily routine. A few tips from my personal experience for safe and enjoyable scootering: always wear a helmet, even if it feels silly or you’re just going a short distance. Safety first! Also, be mindful of pedestrians and bike lanes. Our campus can get pretty busy, especially between classes, and sharing the space respectfully is key. I've found some of the best spots to cruise are along the riverfront paths, which offer stunning views, or cutting through the quieter quadrangles. It’s a fantastic way to discover little nooks and crannies you might usually miss, or even just to de-stress after a tough lecture. Speaking of the University of Minnesota, it’s truly a special place. When people ask what UMN is known for, I always think about its vibrant campus life, groundbreaking research, and incredible sense of community, alongside its strong academics. From the iconic Northrop Memorial Auditorium to the beautiful Weisman Art Museum, there's always something visually stimulating. I’ll especially miss the energetic vibe of Dinkytown, with its unique shops and eateries, and the beautiful sprawling green spaces and riverfront trails that offer a perfect escape for studying or just chilling with friends. The sheer size and diversity of the campus mean there’s always something new to explore, even after four years here. It’s a place that fosters both intellectual growth and personal discovery. These last few weeks are all about making lasting memories. Whether it's those impromptu scooter rides, grabbing one last Brim coffee with friends before a study session, attending a final campus event, or just sitting on a bench reflecting on my journey, I’m trying to be present and soak up every single detail. It's incredibly bittersweet, knowing this chapter is closing, but I'm so grateful for all the experiences, the friendships, and the immense personal growth I’ve achieved here. My advice to any current or future college students? Don't wait until the very end to soak up every single moment. Get out there, explore your campus, try new things, and make those memories while you can. Time truly flies when you’re having this much fun!
