🤍 My Story: If you seen my last post then you already know how I feel about April literally coming and going in a blink of an eye. I really just felt so stagnant for the month of April; I honestly didn’t know if I was sad, depressed, or picking up on someone else’s emotions (I’m an empath so this is not uncommon for me). Honestly,it may have been a combination of all of those things! The world is a crazy place and life really does be out here LIFING, but God still be GODING, amen somebody! So I decided to go and do some self care. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no stranger to self care, baby I will go silent and take care of me in a heartbeat! However, the truth of the matter is; sometimes finances can dictate how you move. Being an entrepreneur and funding my own business out of my pocket has been no cakewalk. You know how the saying goes “you have to spend money to make money” well yea, that’s typically where all money goes, to my business and bills of course!

🤍 How I Felt: I felt like saying F them bills, I get tired of looking like my bills come first 😫😆! I did what I could and then I booked a hair appointment. Yes I have pushed some stuff back but hey, that’s my truth. I’ve always been responsible when it comes to my finances and bills but this particular day I needed something to pick me up. I know some people may not agree with this logic and thats ok. I did what works for me and you should do what works for you!

🤍 My Takeaways: When you look good you feel good! You don’t have to break the bank to do something nice for yourself but you do have to remember to take care of yourself. I know that things will get better in my business and won’t have to pick and choose between my responsibilities or myself, but for now I will continue to enjoy the simple pleasures in my life like getting my hair done. Even if it’s just allowing my stylist to shampoo and blow dry my hair 😌🧖🏿‍♀️
