Faith, Not Location
Long ago, God’s people were known by the land they lived in and the laws they kept. Israel was their home, Jerusalem their center, and the Temple their meeting place with the divine. To belong to Israel was to belong to God’s chosen people.
But then, everything changed.
Jesus stepped into history. He walked the streets of Jerusalem, healed in Galilee, prayed in Gethsemane, and carried a cross up Calvary’s hill. And with His sacrifice, the boundaries that once separated people fell away.
No longer was belonging to God about where you lived or what bloodline you came from. It became about who you trusted.
Paul wrote it clearly: “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).
This means the family of God is no longer defined by maps, flags, or ancient borders. It’s defined by hearts that believe, by faith that clings to Christ.
Now, the chosen people are not just in Israel. They’re in every nation, every tribe, every language. They’re in cities and villages, deserts and islands, high mountains and low valleys.
Because after Jesus, the true promised land is not a piece of earth… it’s His Kingdom. And His Kingdom is without end.✝️
