Sometimes Silence Speaks Louder
There was a time when I felt like I had to prove myself to people.
When someone misunderstood me or said something hurtful, I’d feel that sting deep in my heart. The frustration, the anger, the urge to defend my name. But over time, God began to whisper something different to me: "Be still. Let Me handle it"... Now sometimes that voice came in the form of my Aunt Terri, who has always instilled this truth to me..However, it was loud and clear.
I realized that trying to prove my worth and side to people only left me exhausted and distracted from what really mattered; what God says about me.
So, I stopped trying to argue my point.
I stopped explaining myself to people who had already made up their minds about me. And I started trusting God to show what only He could reveal.
Sometimes the greatest strength isn’t found in speaking, it’s found in silence, surrender, and letting God fight your battles. Because when He defends you, there’s no misunderstanding left standing.
Scripture to Stand On:
“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
