Ep 2: How would you behave if your self worth..
...was tested?
From my personal experience, having good self-esteem means having the courage to stand your ground calmly when situations get tough. It’s not about being confrontational but about showing clarity and strength when your boundaries are tested. For example, during my time with Singapore Airlines, I encountered passengers who spoke dismissively or crossed lines. Instead of shrinking or getting defensive, I calmly and politely reinforced my limits without sarcasm or raised voices. This shifted the energy instantly and earned respect. Good self-esteem helps you maintain control and composure not just at work but also in daily life—whether at home, social settings, or professional environments. It means you value yourself enough to not tolerate disrespect and you communicate assertively without fear of disappointing others. Many people think confidence alone is enough, but what often holds women back is the courage to say no or set limits, fearing to upset people. Developing this courage builds resilience that helps navigate challenges effectively. Ultimately, good self-esteem translates into behaviors that protect your mental well-being and empower you to face adversity with grace and firm boundaries.
