Prague and Amsterdam straight up didn’t ask for ID 😭 #tspaul
Traveling through Europe can sometimes bring unexpected experiences, especially regarding travel document checks. From my personal journey spanning over 35 days and multiple European countries, I found that in cities like Prague and Amsterdam, authorities rarely asked for ID, which was quite surprising. This relaxed approach to ID checks can ease travel stress and make exploring more spontaneous. However, despite this leniency, it’s still essential to carry proper travel documents such as passports during international travel within Europe to avoid any potential issues. Interestingly, many European destinations are part of the Schengen Area, allowing passport-free movement across member countries once inside the zone. This agreement contributes to fewer identity checks, but it does not mean travelers should be complacent. I also noted that although I only used my passport once during these 35 days, I kept it on me at all times as a precaution. It's best practice to keep travel documents accessible, as local requirements can change or vary. These experiences have taught me that while some cities show flexibility in ID controls, being prepared is key to smooth travel. Always verify entry requirements before your trip and stay informed about the rules in each destination within Europe.
