Mama's Words of Wisdom 💜
Mama's words of wisdom. 💜
My Mamà would say, "help people, Mari, as much as you can, we are called to have compassion however, have the wisdom to know when you have to let go and let God. Be it the situation or friendship or if anything gets to heavy where you're being dragged down, leave that load at the cross." ✝️
Reflecting on Mama's words, "help people as much as you can," one realizes the true essence of compassion lies not just in giving but in understanding our limits. In life, I’ve found that trying to carry every burden can drain your spirit. Mama’s advice to "have the wisdom to know when you have to let go and let God" is a powerful reminder that releasing what weighs us down is necessary for peace of mind. On several occasions, I struggled with holding onto friendships or situations that left me feeling exhausted. Learning to "leave that load at the cross," as Mama says, helped me prioritize my mental health and faith. It’s not about abandoning relationships lightly, but about recognizing when they no longer serve your growth. The phrase from the image, "THE COURAGE TO BEGIN AND THE WISDOM TO RELEASE," perfectly captures life’s balance. It encourages us to bravely start new chapters, take risks, and show kindness, while also having the discernment to step back when necessary. This has taught me that compassion includes self-compassion and that sometimes the greatest help we can offer others is by maintaining our own strength and peace. Ultimately, these lessons have deepened my understanding of faith and resilience. They inspire me to keep moving forward with hope, knowing that letting go is not defeat but a vital part of the journey towards better days.
