High Protein Meals I made this week pt.1 ⭐️
⭐️Here’s meals that I made this week!! (not all)
I told you guys I was gonna start incorporating meat more into my diet. Bulking and gaining more muscle is my goal this year. Last year I did the #75hard challenege and I was mainly in a calorie deficit for majority of the 75 days. These next coming months I will be changing my diet and incorporating more protein. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a carb overload, because I am going being strategic with the food groups,I want to incorporate into my new diet.
This week I cooked my first steak! It was delicious and from there I made micro meals surrounding the steak I made that following Monday.
⭐️steak with mashed potatoes & peppers
⭐️ steak with white rice & Brussels sprouts (not pictured I had work that day)
⭐️ steak burrito with peppers, eggs, and home style potatoes
⭐️tuna salad sandwiches
⭐️ protein smoothies (protein yogurt as added base)
This week is not over yet. I have more to show you all these are all fun dinners/breakfast to make yourself. I’m not the biggest fan of meat so it was definitely a euphoric experience because I was excited but also very nervous. Luckily I cooked my steak pretty well just from watching my dad and a few videos on YouTube. You don’t have to get red meat per se, but if you are considering bulking red meat is a great factor for iron which contributes to muscle. This is still a learning process for me so as I learn more about different food groups, as well as different groceries you can buy from the store that are healthy as well as fulfilling, I’ll be able to give you guys more knowledge on this booking journey.
Hope you’re having a great week

After diving into my bulking journey, finding satisfying high-protein meals, especially with steak, has been a game-changer. I wanted to share a deeper dive into making these meals not just nutritious but also incredibly tasty and easy to fit into a busy week. My goal is a “protein overload” that fuels muscle growth without sacrificing flavor or convenience. One of my favorite ways to enjoy steak is in a versatile bowl. Beyond just mashed potatoes or plain rice, I love creating vibrant steak and veggie bowls. I often start by cooking a larger batch of steak ahead of time, which makes a full week of eating so much easier. When it’s time for a meal, I’ll slice some of that pre-cooked steak and serve it over a bed of quinoa or wild rice. Then, I load it up with roasted bell peppers and onions, maybe even some sautéed spinach for extra nutrients. It’s a fantastic way to get a balanced, high-protein meal that feels fresh every time. Don't limit steak to just dinner! For a power-packed breakfast, I often turn my leftover steak into a quick hash. I sauté some home style potatoes, bell peppers, and onions until tender, then add diced steak and scramble in two eggs. Sometimes, I’ll even wrap this delicious mix in a spinach tortilla for a fantastic on-the-go breakfast burrito. It’s a hearty way to start the day and ensures I’m meeting my protein targets early on. While steak is a star, it’s also good to mix up protein sources. My go-to for a lighter, yet equally satisfying, option is a high-protein tuna salad. Instead of just mayo, I often use a base of Greek yogurt to boost the protein content and keep it lighter. I love serving this tuna salad in crisp lettuce cups or on whole-grain crackers for a refreshing change from traditional sandwiches. It’s a simple trick to keep my meals varied and interesting. And for those times I need a quick protein hit or a post-workout refuel, a Peach & Strawberry Protein smoothie is an absolute lifesaver. I blend frozen peaches and strawberries with a scoop of my favorite vanilla protein powder and a base of almond milk or even a dollop of protein yogurt. It’s delicious, refreshing, and helps me hit my daily protein targets effortlessly. Plus, it feels like a treat! What I’ve learned on this journey is that meal prepping is absolutely key. Cooking a larger batch of steak, vegetables, or even grains on Sunday means I have a protein source and sides ready for several meals throughout the week. It saves so much time during my busy workdays. Don't be afraid to experiment with seasonings either; a simple garlic and herb rub can transform plain steak into something truly special. For anyone new to cooking steak, watching a few YouTube videos definitely helped me get that perfect sear and tenderness without being intimidated. Building muscle and eating high protein doesn't have to be bland or complicated. With a little planning and creativity, you can enjoy a variety of delicious meals featuring steak and other protein sources. It's all about finding what works for your body and your taste buds on this exciting fitness journey!
