Hair Identity….

As a black woman our hair is a major statement to who we are… meaning where we are presently emotionally & mentally. A lo cut can say I’m strong, in control and confident in my own skin, bright red hair can be sexy and deliciously devious…

Lately I have been struggling with my hair which usually means I’m feeling neurotic lol. I be been struggling with my hair for a little over a year. Drying it out under wig caps mostly, hiding the damage. I also battled with hair loss during my recent pregnancy. 5 weeks postpartum and I’ve been letting my hair breathe after having my birth braids in for over 6 weeks.

My hair grew in that time and I’m loving it. But I also don’t know what to do with it. I don’t wanna go back to wigs, I’m ready to embrace my hair naturally…with the occasional sew in and braids lol.

I just don’t know where to start…
