1st Month Weight Loss Journey 🎉
First month on GLP-1 and it's been a journey. I've adjusted well with the shot and I'm still learning on healthy eating habits.
No longer drinking coffee. I cleaned this week and moved my Keurig in storage. Still missing the habit of making coffee, but no longer need the taste of coffee.
I've been craving pizza this week, still nervous on eating fatty foods.
I feel better overall, awake, alert, more energy, better thought processing. I have a better outlook on things and learning to love who I am at this very moment.
I'm excited to see what Month 2 shows me! 🎉🎉🎉
Starting a weight loss journey with GLP-1 therapy can be both exciting and challenging. In my first month, the adjustment phase centered around not only the physical side effects of the injection but also revising my daily habits and mindset. One major change I noticed was naturally losing my coffee habit, which surprised me because I previously enjoyed it daily. Removing the Keurig machine from my kitchen was a helpful step to break this routine, showing how environment affects cravings. Craving comfort foods, such as pizza, presented moments of hesitation, especially with concerns about consuming fatty foods while on GLP-1. I found that allowing myself small, mindful indulgences helped reduce anxiety without derailing progress. Balancing these cravings with healthier eating choices is key to sustainable weight loss. Beyond weight, I experienced a boost in overall well-being — feeling more awake, alert, and mentally sharp each day. This improvement enhanced my motivation, encouraging a positive self-view and greater self-compassion. For those embarking on a similar path, it's important to celebrate small wins and embrace the journey’s shifts in lifestyle and perspective. Keeping a detailed tracker over the first month helped quantify progress and stay motivated. For example, seeing steady weekly weight loss of around 1-1.5% and BMI decreases reinforced that consistent effort matters. Whether you're dealing with PCOS or other challenges influencing weight, GLP-1 combined with healthy habits can be empowering. Looking ahead, Month 2 presents opportunities to refine eating patterns, manage cravings more confidently, and deepen commitment to this new lifestyle. Sharing experiences with others in online communities or forums (#glp1weightloss, #weightlossandfatloss) also provides encouragement and valuable tips. Remember, weight loss journeys are unique, and small sustainable changes often lead to meaningful, lasting results.
